IRIS Folding

Iris Foil Folding created this beautiful shimmering jewel frog...could be a prince in disguise...what ya think? The craft store had a gazillion sample cards, and every color of foil under heaven to choose from. As I gazed each cards color scheme, a fellow enthusiasts approached and gave me a fast verbal lesson. Alrighty, I think I can do this!
Close up you can see how the well creased foil fits together, each complementing color leading the eye around to the center. Use a hologram paper for the center, or sparkle paper (this frog has aqua glitter paper). So, to get started, choose a simple design. I even picked the colors and developed their placement as I went along...and this is the first attempt!.

This  foil selection is embossed...adding the extra jazzy-bling appropriate for any Prince to be frog!
The die cut fits perfectly over the layering diagram. Each fold should fit exactly along the lines, and secured with a small piece of tape. Flip the design over often to see how you are progressing, and what color to place next.

The die cut card can then be cut to size, and used for your special greeting...imagination is your canvas! Any punch design would work. Cut the punch into your paper of choice, trace it onto plain white card stock and use a ruler to develop the folding pattern. Number or color code each space and you'll be ready to create beautiful Iris Folding cards anytime.
